As we approach the end of 2022, the Yambone team is currently looking for Umi Wango scholarship sponsors to enable 26 children to attend grade eight at Macalodge Secondary School in 2023 (starting in January). As of 2023, the secondary school will also include grade seven for which we have 25 applicants.

The scholarship is worth MT 15,000 per child (USD 250). It includes the following:

• school tuition
• boarding school fees
• a school uniform
• a pair of school shoes
• exercise clothes
• a pair of running shoes
• an Umi Wango t-shirt
• toiletries

It also offers allowances for personal things, travel assistance for holidays so that students may return to their home village in Chipanje Chetu.
